Peace be with You

“I was raised in Oregon, the only place where the Japanese sent balloon bombs during World War II. Several decades after the War, the Japanese government sent an offering of atonement for that action: an entire Japanese style park to the city of Portland. I painted this impression of the bridge there as our government was involved in making war in the Middle East. How do WE make atonement for that?”
