“Inspired by the iconic photography of Steve McCurry, I painted this impression of his photo when my wife was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I wanted to pay tribute to her love of flowers, but also portray my struggle to navigate through a part of life where I did not know the way or what to expect. She lived long enough to love the painting, even if she could not remember the painter's name.”
